THE MOTORS #1
We start our engines today with the Motors you all know and love - the London pub rock group formed in 1977 by Ducks Deluxe members Nick Garvey and Andy McMaster together with guitarist Rob Hendry and drummer Ricky Slaughter. Hendry would later be replaced by the excellent Peter Bramall, aka Bram Tchaikovsky. They broke up in 1980 after their third album, but their place in history is secure thanks to this Top 10 smash from 1978...
I was more than a little surprised that no band had chosen this name prior to these guys.
THE MOTORS #2
Aussie band from Perth, spinning their tyres between 1982 and 1984. Also known as Formula One - presumably once they'd upgraded their wheels.
THE MOTORS #3
Japanese Motors - Nissan or Honda? - from 1988...
THE MOTORS #4
More Japanese Motors, this time of the ska variety. No doubt they're currently paying Mr. Trump huge tariffs. Here they are in 2006.
THE MOTORS #5
General Motors from Missouri in 2011...
The Motors - All I Hear is Hank Songs
THE MOTORS #6
And finally, we pull up to the kerb with some Argentinian Motors from 2014...
Which Motors get you all revved up with Motor-vation? And which ones would you sent to the scrap yard?
Starting at #6. I am really hoping for something better than #1
