I think I’ve read about their characteristics before – but I’m not sure. I’d have had to guess the rest. Thanks for the quiz, Rol
All correct so far, Walter. Well done.
Delete1 B, 2 C, 3 A, 4 B, 5 B, 6 A, 7 C, 8 B, 9 A, 10 A.
ReplyDelete1, 5, 6, 9 correct.
Delete1 is B because their beaks are the wrong way round. I know that because I recently watched them doing it in Tanzania. Exhibit A (not actually eating): https://flic.kr/p/2sd9vUE
ReplyDeleteAlan Whicker strikes again.
DeleteBeing bird daft I feel I really ought to know all the answers but of course I don't... However, I'll learn some valuable new information after this, so thank you. One I do know is the crow one - I was only reading about that recently too. Never upset a corvid or even be seen near a dead one of their number as they may negatively associate it with you and tell all their pals (has this anything to do with the collective noun for crows is a murder, I wonder?) At the moment my garden is full of wonderful rooks so I'm staying in their good books.
ReplyDeleteBeing a fan of the Toronto baseball team, I can hand-on-heart say that I know the answer to #6. I'd be flapping around with guesswork with the rest......
