Saturday Snapshots #448

Wait a minute, baby... we may all be long past the edge of seventeen, but who'd want to be a kid in this day and age? Far better to take our pleasures in the more relaxed pursuit of Snapshots.

Who are these people and how might their songs be connected?

13. Calm A Partridge by taking nothing from his surname.

12. Lottery, grid, curriculum.

10. Never stop looking for... Huey.

9. Made Stacy jump.

8. Found messed up in a crapulent YMCA.

7. Daley Thompson.

6. Thank God that's all over!

5. She's A Star in her playhouse.

4. Steve Rogers no longer wants to be associated with America.

  10. I think 11 is Fire Engines who only made one album and a couple of singles. Having looked at their Discogs page the only possible link to Sweet I can think of is they have a sone about the living room and the lads have a ballroom.

    So is it rooms?

    3. Credit goes to Fire Engines. If they hadn't made one of my favourite singles of all time (Candyskin) I would not have remembered them and not got the link either.

    4. Gosh well done Ernie. Wouldn't have got that from their Lubricate Your Living Room song, whatever that means - or am I being naïve again?
