I assume 1 or 2 of Scarlett Johansson's covers are on Women Sing Waits. If not, should be!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395044055566348346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633543688149775322.post-89013399031027311442019-12-09T22:57:07.646+00:002019-12-09T22:57:07.646+00:00I liked Tom Waits voice before he started sounding...I liked Tom Waits voice before he started sounding like Christian Bale's growly Batman.

As for "Women Sing Waits" - Ol' 55 by Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer sounds a bit Eagles-ish, but that's not a problem. I'm not at all keen on Corinne Bailey Rae's version of Jersey Girl. Tommy's original was second only to Brucie baby's cover.
Downtown Train by Courtney Marie Andrews is fine. It's an album I could live with.
FurryBootsCityBoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14823032991317503886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633543688149775322.post-8585683289978933032019-12-09T10:40:04.918+00:002019-12-09T10:40:04.918+00:00An impressive list of collaborators there Rol

His early work was good, but he really hit his creative stride with 'Swordfishtrombones' and the nigh-on impeccable 'Rain Dogs'. Hard to believe that it's been 8 years since 'Bad as Me'. Come on Tom, pull your finger out.The Swedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13237251779370596904noreply@blogger.com
