Saturday Snapshots #148

This new blogger interface is a pain in the arse. It really is. The old once goes away mid-August, and I'm seriously thinking of switching to Wordpress.

Anyway, Peter Sellers welcomes us to Saturday Snapshots this week. I imagine Inspector Clouseau won't make it through to the new world order, and I'll be labelled as a cultural luddite for sayingi'm sorry about that.

Do you have a reum?

No? Well, see if you can crack the clues to the cases below...

10. Pray for the lass, twice.

9. We'll probably be eating breakfast on our own.

8. Head down discharge highways.

7. Recovered so well, they named them twice.

6. Born again in Harlem with underlined horticulturist & the Silver Skates.

5. McFly meet the only man at Number Ten: objects.

4. Shaken by rough winds, causing a crash landing.

3. Nightshade fire around pier, column and abutment.

2. Get off Peter's sledge!

1. I am Torso, Cereal Celia.

The Pink Panther may not return tomorrow, but the answers to Saturday Snapshots will...

  4. Difficult week for me. Also I have my first hairdressing appointment in 6 months shortly, so will have to bow out and see what the others come up with. As you said last week, we need Lynchie - Concerned about him now.

(Just a heads up, Wordpress are also announcing a new Editor coming soon, and I really struggled with the last upgrade. I managed to stick to the old classic editor but new users might not be able to.)

    1. Thanks, Alyson. They all seem to be trying to make blogging harder (3 or 4 more clicks now to attach an image and no guarantee it will go where you want it). If wp is also a no go, it might be a sign from the gods to call it a day.

  5. No, not a sign of that at all, no, no, no - They just have to constantly upgrade to compete with each other and attract new subscribers who want all the bells and whistles. I'm happy to have no bells and whistles but just be user-friendly.

    1. Agreed, please don't call it a day, things seem to get changed and tweaked all the time and irritate me no end at the beginning and then it just becomes second nature after a while.

Good luck with the haircut, Alyson! I'm sure it will be fine. I haven't had one yet either!

10 is an off-shoot of a more popular Scottish band... the gentleman is your clue.

9 was a lot younger when she had her biggest hit. She's an actress now... apparently.

    8. Sadly died a couple of weeks back.

    7. Think Gerard Kenny.

    4. Sonnet 18.

    2. A master of ceremonies.
