Saturday Snapshots #224

That was a bit of a kick in the guts, yesterday's news.

I'll have more to say about Meat on Monday, naturally. In the meantime, the show must go on...

This week's Snapshots is a tough one though. Really tough. Maybe tougher than tough. I'll be impressed if you get them all, and work out the link...

10. Burn down Carlisle, Dublin, Dundee and Humberside.

9. They shall see God, but it'll cause them much agony.

8. Joker captures sidekick in can.

7. Mountebanks.

6. A bison goes with a hawk.

5. Two Georges need a Minder to help them go through the undeveloped photos.

4. Sheila Grant? Must be the clouds in my eyes.

3. Mason, with half a bad haircut that won't disguise his bald patch.

2. Peanut farmer gets the last letter of his home wrong.

1. Fish in collar.

Then like a sinner before the gates of Heaven

I'll come crawling on back to you... tomorrow morning... with the answers.

    2. Too hard for me but the fact you keep mentioning how hard it is must be connected to the link. We'll see.

Might have got this one at a push because of the Jimmy Carter clue.

  2. 7 The Charlatans
4 Daniel Johnston (just from the clue)

    1. Crikey, I would have never recognised him in that picture. So much to take in - The bedspread, lying on the floor in his good trousers with the creases, no shirt, hairy arms, necklace and pinky ring...

      Sorry got carried away.

    2. Indeed! I found myself thinking of him in ways I never have before...

  8. 9 is The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

8 - don't know but from the clue, Tina Robin? It fits, and the name rings a bell, but I have no idea who she is.

Likewise, no idea on the link.

    1. Top work, Martin. Though I think your colleagues have already solved the impossible link.
