Saturday Snapshots #317

Surprise surprise! It's time for our regular Saturday morning Blind Date with a bunch of anonymous pop stars. But who are they and what connects their songs? You'll have a lorra lorra fun working it out...

10. They're meek & honest, but very confused.

9. German with a regular beat.

8. Bandit chasers.

7. The headroom is small when you're locked up inside your opium den.

6. Used for lifting a nun's headdress.

5. I saw a mouse!

Where?

4. She'll feed you tea and oranges under a bright star.

3. Used to work in a very cold factory.

2. On sale at the jewellers.

1. Big guitar pedal.

Anyone who had a heart would be able to see and hear the answers tomorrow morning.

    1. I am baffled as to how George came up with Ronnie & The Hiltons from that clue. Too much exposure to the Portuguese sun perhaps. Is it anything to do with either stairs or clogs?

    2. Where does the mouse live?

    3. Amsterdam. Scouse band fronted by the prolific Ian Prowse, also of Pele.

    4. Ernie, I thought Ronnie Hilton sang that song. "I saw a mouse, where, there on the stairs ...."

    5. Ronnie Hilton did sing it. So judging by the vagueries of some if my clues (and some of the bands featured), that would have been a perfectly good answer.

    6. Some of my clues. I shouldn't try to comment on my phone anymore. Old fingers and fading eyesight...

    7. I unreservedly apologise to George. I thought it was Max Bygraves but that is the other Amsterdam song.

  9. 10 looks like Mickey Dolenz on vocals so could it be a reunited Monkees?

Think George is right on 1.

I'm assuming the connection is Liverpool and related things (Mersey, Scouse etc)

    1. Or even well done. Stupid autocorrect.

    2. I suspect C had the answer as well

    3. Thanks CC, I should've piped up! It was Wimple Winch's very obscure 'Rumble On Mersey Square South' which linked with a certain ferry from Gerry & the Pacemakers, seemed too much of a coincidence!
