They called him The Wild Man of Rock 'n' Roll, his TV performances were accused of "promoting teenage decadence", and when he played in Liverpool in 1958, both John Lennon and Paul McCartney queued up to get his autograph. Wee Willie Harris might never have had any hit records, but he deserves to be remembered.
Willie died at the end of April, aged 90, but thanks to Ian Dury, his name will live on forever...
