I had a quick look at Prince's bio and apparently it was because Tipper Gore heard her 11-year-old daughter listening to one of his sexually explicit songs that she founded the centre advocating the mandatory use of a warning label, now known as Parental Advisory, on the covers of records. Every day's a school day.
DeleteWell done Alyson! I'm looking forward to seeing all the answers tomorrow.
DeleteI'm not sure if this is the space for this piece of news but Lynchie has been absent from our blogs for a long time so I searched the online obits of the Aberdeen P&J newspaper and found a Graeme Lynch of the right age, who died at the end of 2023. It really looked as if it would have been him but if I'm mistaken and you still view these pages Lynchie, please give us a sign ('o' the times).
ReplyDeleteI did wonder. RIP, Lynchie, if that is you.
DeleteThanks for doing a little search, Alyson. This is that strange and sad side to having online-only contacts, isn't it, when people disappear and we're just left wondering, or find out bad news on them later. RIP Lynchie if that is the case, he always had some great anecdotes.
