Saturday Snapshots #28
Yeah, man, it was like Saturday, one time and... I remember Saturday, one time back in the 60s, and Mick was like, yeah, take a photo man, and I was like...
What was I saying?
Ten clues. Ten artists. Ten titles. Man.
10. 2023: too big for the ark.
9. Sad clams laughing in the face of death.
8. The first noblemen get sharp.
7. A rare forecast calls for a flimsy dress.
6. Self-destructive patients correct, condense and control.
5. He won't stop talking about late precipitation.
4. A hymn to tell her I love her.
3. Good for lighting a fire under your date - when you just want to get out into the country!
2. Snow White rejected these dwarfs for being hangers on.
1. Grow your own thunderstorm - Stan Lee will love it!
Answers as soon as Keef Sobers up. Or Sunday morning. Whichever comes first.

No 10 - In Five Years Time by Noah and the Whale
ReplyDeleteNo 9 - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch
ReplyDeleteHold Tight
DeleteNo 1 - Lightning Seeds
ReplyDeleteSong?
DeleteMarvellous? Have kind of hijacked Snapshots this week by checking in early but was a no-show last week so balances out.
DeleteNo 7 - One Fine Day by the Chiffon’s?
ReplyDeleteThe Chiffons - Sorry Mr English teacher, an apostrophe faux pas
Delete2 - Dave Dee,Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich
ReplyDeleteYou beat me Alyson as I had to check I had the right names and in the right order!
ReplyDeleteThen again I see you have taken the time to spell Tich's name correctly - A point scoring dilemma!
Delete3. Tindersticks
ReplyDeleteSong?
Delete#3 could be the song City Sickness (when you just want to get out into the country!)
DeleteIf You're Looking for a Way Out
Delete???
(My Tindersticks song knowledge runs to one album)
No 4 is Laura Brannigan from Tell Laura I Love Her - Not sure of the song but could it be Gloria (hymn like)?
ReplyDeleteI'm kicking myself about No 5 as I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to know who he is but other than being a Rupert Holmes/Dean Friedman hybrid I'm drawing a blank - Also sure I'm supposed to know No 2 but other than the Unhappy Molluscs, I've got nothing!
ReplyDeleteI shall return later.
Of course that should be No 9 for the UM - We really are rubbish at getting your numbering convention right, even after all this time.
Delete5 - Eddie Rabbitt? Not sure of song...
ReplyDelete9 is Blue Oyster Cult - and I think it has to be "(Don't Fear) The Reaper"
ReplyDeleteThe Eddie Rabbit song is "I Love A Rainy Night".
ReplyDeleteProbably already answered. #10 is 5 Years Time by Noah and the Whale
ReplyDelete8 looks like could be a young Bryan Adams (something about the mouth/eyebrows and the age of the pic too) but I can't get the clue to fit!
ReplyDeleteExcellent observational skills. Only the last word in the clue refers to the song title.
DeleteCuts Like a Knife?
DeleteJust #8 (and half of #3) to get then.
ReplyDeleteThese past few weeks I haven't been able to stay awake late enough on Friday nights to play. Not much left this morning, and I'm stumped on No. 8. Can't get Lord Cut-Glass out of my head. Was thinking Lords of the New Church too, but that can't be Stiv Bstors in the photo, and I only know their cover of Like of Virgin anyway. Will keep thinking. Some fun clues this week. I got three of them right away.
