3 is the mighty Buck Owens - not sure of the song
ReplyDeleteWhere's he been?
DeleteThe only thing I can come up with is Streets of Backersfield
DeleteNo. 8 - Boston with More Than A Feeling?
ReplyDeleteJust beat me to it!
DeleteAnd me
Delete6 Hazel O'Connor - Eighth Day
ReplyDeleteNo. 6 - Gosh excellent clue - Hazel O’Connor with 8th Day
ReplyDeleteDrat - took a minute to check the spelling for O’Connor and lost out to RD!
DeleteIf you're not fast you're last
Delete1. Elvis Constello, Pump It Up.
ReplyDeleteCostello, even. Damned autocorrect.
DeleteThought it was EC but couldn't work out where the Costello came from - Got it now, doh!
Delete10 is Mark Cohn but only know one song by him and it isn't that.
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Try and work out why.
DeleteIt is Walking in Memphis Mark (Sun Records)
DeleteMartin even
DeleteSun Records in Memphis,I guess...doh.
Delete7 is Thomas Dolby, Hyperactive.
ReplyDelete#8 is Boston. The girls in #9 are cute-I don't know who they are.
ReplyDelete#8 is tough. The only help I can give you is in the clue. Think of something Frank had a few of.
DeleteWives?
DeleteMy Way?
DeleteRegrets?
Delete+te
Delete#9 Frank Sinatra had a few affairs. Still stumped I'm afraid
DeleteOk as no-one else has suggested this I did a quick check and there is a band called The Regrettes - Someone else can work out the song.
DeleteOkay. Seashore by The Regrettes.
DeleteNo. 4 - Mary Wells? I think you've used this as a clue before for Mary otherwise I'd have been stumped - Not sure of the song.
ReplyDeleteThink I'm done for today - Tempted to say Hee Bee Gee Bees for No. 5 though!
ReplyDeleteIf a number in the song title it must be 182 or 2154 but don't think it'll be either - Really curious about that one now.
One of those numbers is accurate... but not for the title.
DeleteAh - Is it Blink 182 but wouldn't be able to get the song.
DeleteI think you got it Alyson. Blink 182 seems to be right. My pick for the song is What's My Age Again?
DeleteI think the Mary Wells song is "You Beat Me To The Punch" - but only because it's the only song that might involve an elbow, as mentioned in the clue. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThink of a famous elbow.
DeleteIs it My Guy (the bloke in Elbow is called Guy something?)
DeleteA famous Elbow would be Guy Garvey.... so 'My Guy'!
Delete2. Father John Misty (I twigged the Clint Eastwood film straight off) but no idea of the song.
ReplyDeleteI'll help. #2 must be Funtimes in Babylon
DeleteIs it just me or are these getting harder? I was too late anyway but the only one I could get was Boston. Will have to mull over the missing ones and hope inspiration strikes....
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when I make them too easy?
