Welcome to another very special Guest Post edition of Saturday Snapshots, this week hosted by our very own Ernie Goggins!
Ernie's gone above and beyond with this one, providing me not only with songs and a link... but also all the clues and photographs too. But with Ernie off the playing field, that means the rest of you are going to have to work extra hard this week. Can you beat him?
Take it away, Ernie...

ReplyDeleteIt's a HARD one today!
ReplyDeleteYou should be able to identify #6. According to your search engine he has been the subject of five posts over at your place.
DeleteFirst ten artists all correctly identified. Just five and the link to go.
ReplyDeleteIs the link questions in the title?
ReplyDeleteNo
Delete6 Lyle Lovett
ReplyDeleteIs the link Places In New York?
ReplyDeleteNo
DeleteSongs about being on your own?
ReplyDeleteStill no I'm afraid
DeleteThis may not help but the first step is to identify the right single by #15 (clue - its not the best known one). Do that and the rest should follow.
ReplyDeleteI'll repeat that but with extra emphasis: "This may not help but the first STEP is to identify the RIGHT single by #15 (clue - its not the best known one). Do that and the rest should follow".
DeleteAlso four acts LEFT to identify. #4 and #8 have both had Top 10 UK hits (although not with these songs), #7 and #9 are more obscure.
Don't give clues, Ernie - let them sweat!
DeleteAm I being really literal here but is the link Left and Right songs?
DeleteRol - normally I'm one of those sweating, so my sympathies are with them. And they probably need to get to the shops.
DeleteAlyson - Yes it is. There is a little bit more to it but that's the link.
Is the little more that it's about dancing - stepping to the left then the right etc?
DeleteMuch less inventive. They just go left, right, left, right all the way to the end. No dancing required.
DeleteDon't know if you want to have a go at #9 but they share their first name with a magazine which you read avidly in your youth.
Well done Alyson. Tough one!
DeleteAh that was clever and I didn't spot that as we tend to tackle the snapshots at random as we identify them.
DeleteI'm guessing it's a Jackie, but not Jackie Wilson, so I'm stumped.
Well done for putting this one together. The pressure is now on the rest of us who haven't done one yet!
9 Jackie Mitoo?
ReplyDeleteI mean Mittoo
DeleteYes! Well done
