Positive Songs For Negative Times #13: Hope Is Important

We just have to keep telling ourselves, like Uncle Bob said...

"Every little thing's gonna be all right."

(Even if it isn't.)

Because, as Idlewild told us, Hope Is Important...

The world is in my chaos dream
But I am not invited

Is there a way that I could live inside?
'Cause I supply
And you are the last one to know
'Cause I don't know

I don't know

This is my chaos
You and me talk freely at night

  1. Very important indeed...

I love your photos, especially the top one. Funnily enough I've been taking photos of the sheep my way too. My favourite walk takes me up the long driveway to an ancient manor house and because of the lockdown they've closed the entrance to cars, so the sheep normally in the adjacent fields have free run of the driveway too at the moment. Walking amongst them as they turn their heads and watch you pass just inches away, undeterred, is a special pleasure of mine right now.

  2. Great pictures - Those of us who have access to the countryside at the moment are very lucky.

I've been down, then up, but this has been a down week. Got in a tizzy last night with the carnival atmosphere in the street accompanying the clapping, but maybe they just know something I don't. Yes, very probably everything's gonna be alright.... I hope.

  3. Confession time: those photos are quite a few years old. But I have seen a fair few newborn lambs on my walks this week and they do represent new life, new hope and all that, so... well, we all keep trying our best, don't we? That's all we can do.

  4. You really do live out a ways, don't you? In these times, you are the envy of millions.

    1. I guess so. That's near to where my parents live and I grew up. Where I live now is a bit more suburban, but still within easy access of that kind of countryside. I'm counting my blessings.
